Tragic but inspirational story, Jeff. Sometimes the people who make the most impact on us are only with us for what seems like too short a time. Congratulations on the book and living your dreams, brother.

Jeff, you lost a friend but gained an angel. Al’s still cheering you on, just from a different place. Thanks for sharing the story.

Jeff, you were lucky to have Al even though the time you knew him was too short. I am glad he gifted you with his support. It sounds like he was a great guy to know and that he inspired you to keep on keepin’ on! Here’s to you and to Al!

Your post gave me chills. An inspiring story of friendship and leadership. If only we could all be Al for someone in our circle of our days. Giving to others is the greatest thing we can do for ourselves, our time and our world. Jeff how are you doing on your next book? Maybe you write a longer piece about Al and submit it to literary reviews, it is moving.
